Who are we

Our Goals

Welcome to the home of the Phoenix Netball Club Townsville Inc. Our club aims to provide opportunities for players of all age groups to reach their full netball potential, while fostering team spirit, friendship and on-court success. We aim to achieve the highest performance possible from our coaches and players, with finals appearances and premierships the measure of our success. All Phoenix Club members, be they players, coaches, officials or supporters, are expected to approach netball in a sportsmanlike and friendly manner.

The Phoenix Netball Club Townsville Inc exists to bring people together. We’re dedicated to building a strong, connected community by offering a safe and welcoming space where locals can participate, volunteer, and support one another. Through inclusive netball programs, community events, and a culture of kindness and encouragement, we strive to enrich neighbourhood life and create opportunities for everyone to belong, grow, and feel valued.

Phoenix Netball Leagues & Dates for 2026

Seniors

Premier League is a separate competition consisting of 18 rounds plus a finals series. Players must be 16 years and over to be eligible to play. Trials for Premier League take place prior to the season commencing. This competition is played on Monday nights.

Seniors Competition is for players aged 16 years and over. Number of divisions will be dependent upon number of teams nominated, all teams are graded. Trials take place in the preseason, prior to the season commencing. This competition is played on Tuesday nights.

Juniors

U18: consists of an U18 League as well as divisions for girls 16/17/18 yrs of age as well as a mixed division, trials are held prior to the season commencing for players to be allocated according to their skill level. This competition is played on Wednesday nights.
U15: consists of an U15 League as well as divisions for girls aged 13/14/15 as well as a mixed division. Trials are held prior to the season commencing for players to be allocated according to their skill level. This competition is played on Wednesday nights.
U12: consists of divisions for boys and girls aged 11/12, trials are held prior to the season commencing where players are allocated according to their skill level. This competition is held on Wednesday nights.

Set: For boys and girls 7-10 yrs old who are beginners to netball. Played under modified netball rules in non-competitive fixtures. Played on a Tuesday night.
Go: For boys & girls aged 7-10 who are not new to netball. Played under full netball rules in non-competitive fixtures. Played on a Tuesday night.
